La Bussola Restaurant is seeking an experienced sommelier / server with extensive wine knowledge. Two years experience working on the floor as a sommelier / server is required.

 
 

 
 

key qualities:

  • Moving and thinking quickly on your feet

  • Keeping a pleasant, approachable and calm demeanor at all times

  • Able to create staff schedules

  • Working with in-house bottle wine, an elevated wine list, as well as beer and cocktails with limited time to sell requires the ability to be personable, yet efficient

  • A desire to learn is very important. Wine education and development is encouraged and also provided on-site and internally.

  • Must have full weekly availability.

  • Must have flexibility with all aspects of the restaurant scheduling.

  • Private event experience is a plus

Required experience:

  • Sommelier or wine captain: 2 years

  • WSET education

 

Key Accountabilities: 

Our wine team works in conjunction with our management team assisting with guest issues, the venue, and helping staff.

We are always looking to improve as a company, but, also request that sommeliers improve upon knowledge, service and sales.

Typical dinner schedule is between 4pm -11pm, although closing shifts may run later. Open Tuesday - Saturday.

Sommeliers are required to work inventory shifts beginning early in the day on the first of every month.

Wages to be discussed in person, based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $13.00 to $18.00 /hour
